HANNIBAL – Weather permitting, as early as the week of August 4, a resurfacing project is scheduled to begin on 20 miles of eastbound and westbound lanes of Interstate 70, from 1.4 miles east of Route F in Montgomery County to east of Route MM in Warrenton in Warren County. This work will occur during the nighttime hours from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Motorists can expect the following traffic impacts where crews are actively working:
- Nighttime work, between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
- Lane reductions with a 11-foot width restriction
- Speed limit will be reduced to 60 mph
MoDOT will alert the public about the project through signs, message boards, news releases and social media. All work is weather dependent and schedules are subject to change.
The $6.3M contract, awarded earlier this year to Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. of Columbia, Missouri. All work is expected to be completed by November 1, 2025:
