REVISED: Overnight Lane/Ramp Closures for Resurfacing on WB/EB I-470, July 28-31

JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting the following evening/overnight lane and ramp closures on WB/EB I-470 for resurfacing operations.

Beginning at 8 p.m. Monday, July 28 until 6 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29

  • Double lane closures on westbound I-470 between Hillcrest Rd. and Raytown Rd.
  • Ramp from Raytown Rd to WB 470 will be CLOSED
  • Ramp from WB 470 to Blue Ridge Boulevard will be CLOSED
  • Ramp from Blue Ridge Boulevard to WB 470 will be CLOSED. 

Beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, July 29 until 6 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30 (REVISED- NEW)

  • Double lane closures on eastbound I-470 between Hillcrest Rd. and Raytown Rd.
  • Ramp from NB I-49 to EB I-470 will be CLOSED.

Beginning at 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 30 until 6 a.m. on Thursday, July 31 (REVISED – NEW)

  • Double lane closures on westbound I-470 between Hillcrest Rd. and Raytown Rd.
  • Ramp from EB I-470 to Raytown Rd. will be CLOSED
  • Ramp from Blue Ridge to EB I-470 will be CLOSED
  • Ramp from Blue Ridge Boulevard to WB 470 will be CLOSED. 

Motorists may experience delays. All work is weather permitting.

Additional closures taking place on I-470:

This work is part of a project to resurface EB/WB I-470 from Hickman Mills Dr. to Raytown Rd. in the summer of 2025.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
