REVISED: REMINDER: JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting the following evening/overnight closures on EB I-470 for resurfacing operations. This work began on Monday, July 21.
Beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, July 23 until 6 a.m. on Thursday, July 24
- Double lane closures on eastbound I-470 between Hillcrest Rd. and Raytown Rd.
- Ramp from NB I-49 to EB I-470 will be CLOSED. (REVISED– new closure)
Motorists may experience delays. All work is weather permitting.

This work is part of a project to resurface EB/WB I-470 from Hickman Mills Dr. to Raytown Rd. in the summer of 2025.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
