Route 34/51 in Bollinger County to Receive Intersection Improvements

Traffic to Use Magnolia, Crown Streets in Marble Hill

SIKESTON-Work to improve the Route 34/51 intersection in Marble Hill, Missouri will begin the week of July 14, weather permitting.

During the first phase of construction, motorists will utilize Magnolia Street and Crown Street to bypass the work zone.

Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, July 14 through Saturday, Nov. 1.

The project will include upgrading the existing Route 34/51 intersection to improve turning movements for tractor trailers and other large vehicles. This will be accomplished by widening and increasing some of the radiuses at the existing intersection.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
