JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Temporary signals installation is scheduled for next week at the intersection of Missouri Route 87 and Moniteau County Route C. Motorists should expect delays, especially during peak travel times, as the two-lane road will narrow to one lane around-the-clock through fall 2025.
Contractors working with the Missouri Department of Transportation began constructing a roundabout at the intersection in early June. The temporary signals are scheduled to be installed on Monday, July 14 and remain in place until construction is complete.
All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded a $1,467,994.56 contract to S & A Equipment & Builders, LLC for the intersection improvement project. MoDOT asks all motorists to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, obeying all traffic signs, and slowing down and moving over in work zones. Motorists are advised to use extra caution through work zones, obey all traffic signs, and avoid any distractions.
