CLAY COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting pipe replacements on Missouri Route 33 at 172nd Street resulting in various traffic modifications. All work is weather permitting. All dates and times are approximate.
See below for traffic modifications:
- Crews will CLOSE 172nd Street on the westside to MO 33 on Monday, July 7 at 7 a.m. through Thursday, July 10 at 7 p.m.
- Crews will conduct a flagging operation on MO 33 at 172nd Street on Monday, July 7 starting at 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.
- Crews will CLOSE MO 33 at 172nd Street starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8 through Thursday, July 10 at 7 p.m.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
