HANNIBAL – Weather permitting, as early as July 7, seal coat operations are scheduled to begin on two disconnected sections of Missouri Route 94 in Montgomery and Warren Counties. Contractor crews will begin at Missouri Route 19 near McKittrick in Montgomery County and move east to the Warren and St. Charles County line. The length of the improvement is 29.3 miles.
Weather permitting, July 14-15, MO 94 will be reduced to one lane, between the hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., from the MO 47/94 intersection near Dutzow to the St. Charles County line. Contractor crews will be proceeding with seal coat work according to the following schedule:
- Beginning at the Route TT/MO 94 intersection in Dutzow, operations will move westbound to the MO 47/MO 94 intersection.
- At the MO 47/MO 94 intersection, crews will move to the eastbound lane, continue through Dutzow to the St. Charles County line.
- Once at the St. Charles County line, crews will move to the westbound lane, working back to Dutzow to finish.
- During the afternoon commute, MO 94 traffic is encouraged to utilize Route T to Route TT to by-pass this work zone or to consider alternate routes on these days.
Additional traffic impacts include temporary access restrictions to the Katy Trail, where the trail crosses MO 94. These restrictions are anticipated to last up to 30 minutes, while seal coat operations are completed at each location. Flaggers will be stationed at following access points while operations are in progress.
- Between Case Road and Rush Island Road
- Just east of Bernheimer Road, between Treloar and Pickney
- Between Dutzow and MO 47
During the project, MO 94 will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction in place at the location where crews are actively working. Flaggers and a pilot car will be utilized to direct motorists through the work zone. Signs and message boards will be in place to alert motorists. All work is weather dependent and schedules are subject to change.
The $1M contract was awarded last year to N.B. West Contracting Company of Pacific, MO. All work is scheduled to be completed by late July.
