SIKESTON―Route U in New Madrid County will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction as contractor crews perform asphalt overlay.
This section of roadway is located from Route WW to County Road 730 near New Madrid, Missouri.
Weather permitting, work will take place Tuesday, July 1 through Friday, Aug. 1 from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. While work is underway, flaggers will be in place to guide traffic.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
