JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Local crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to close Phelps County North Outer Road (Historic Route 66) today for an emergency culvert replacement. From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025, crews plan to close North Outer Road between County Road 2000 and County Road 2070.
During the closure, local property owners will be able to access driveways, but through traffic will need to seek an alternate route.
All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
MoDOT asks all motorists to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, obeying all traffic signs, and slowing down and moving over in work zones. Motorists are advised to use extra caution through work zones, obey all traffic signs, and avoid any distractions.
