Route 61 in Cape Girardeau County Reduced for Drainage Repairs

SIKESTON—Route 61 in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane as contractor crews perform drainage repairs. Lane closures will be in place overnight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., but motorists should expect crews to be present throughout the day. Work will be underway 24 hours a day.

This section of roadway is located from Brittany Drive to Wilson Road in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. 

Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, June 30 with anticipated completion Friday, Oct. 31.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
