JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Westbound U.S. Route 54 near Brazito will narrow to one lane overnight next week. Construction crews working with the Missouri Department of Transportation will be applying a high friction surface treatment from West Brazito Road to east of Gray Road.
One lane of westbound U.S. Route 54 will close from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night, Monday, June 23, through Thursday, June 26. When construction is active, there will be restricted access at the following locations:
- J-turn crossover near West Brazito Road CLOSED.
- No access from westbound U.S. Route 54 to Cole County Route E.
- No access to Pleasant Hill Road from westbound U.S. Route 54.
- No access to West Brazito Road from eastbound U.S. Route 54.
The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded a $121,983.66 contract to complete this project to Louis-Company, LLC during their November 2024 meeting.
All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
