Southwest District – Drivers should expect lane closures and occasional traffic delays on various highways in Lawrence, McDonald and Taney counties beginning Thursday, June 26, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Contractor crews will lay a new high-friction surface on these routes:
- Lawrence County – Missouri Route 39 from Lawrence County Route P and County Road 2175 north of Aurora
- McDonald County – I-49 from McDonald County Route EE south approximately 1.4 miles to a point just south of Elk River Road in Pineville
- Taney County:
- Route F various locations between Haney Road and Country Hills Drive near Branson
- Missouri Route 76 at various locations between Rod Epps Lane and Timothy Road south of Forsyth
- Missouri Route 76 west of Route K at Kirbyville
Traffic Impacts:
- Traffic reduced to one lane where crews are working
- Drivers will encounter flaggers and/or pilot cars directing them through work zone. Drivers should wait for the pilot vehicle before proceeding through the work zone or before entering the work zone from a side road
- Drivers are urged to use caution and watch for crews and equipment on the road
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching work zone
- No signed detours
- Drivers are urged to use alternate routes
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
