MoDOT seeks comments on Olive Boulevard project near Stacy Park, Olivette

ST. LOUIS – Individuals who use Stacy Park, near the intersection of Route 340 (Olive Boulevard) and Old Bonhomme Road in Olivette are encouraged to share their thoughts about an upcoming project along Olive impacting the park.

The project, scheduled to start in 2026, will be making updates to the sidewalks, signals and pedestrian crossings along Olive Boulevard between I-270 and Ferguson Road. Once the sidewalk work has completed, Olive between Dielman Industrial Drive and Ferguson Road will be resurfaced.

As part of that work, the department needs to acquire about 250 square feet of Stacy Park on the southwest corner of Olive and Old Bonhomme Road. Currently unused, the required land north of the existing Stacy Park Reservoir will be used to widen the sidewalk at the corner of Olive and Old Bomhomme and to place a signal cabinet for the signals at the intersection. As a part of on-going design, MoDOT will work with the city of St. Louis, who owns the portion of the park that the reservoir is on, to determine an appropriate compensation for that property.

People can view general information about the on-going project on MoDOT’s website: Missouri Route 340 Pavement Resurfacing between I-270 to Ferguson Avenue in St. Louis County | Missouri Department of Transportation. People interested can share their thoughts about the project, and the potential acquisition of a small portion of Stacy Park at the comment form at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/OliveBlvd2026.  Comments may also be mailed to: Caitlyn Wiechman. St. Louis Design, 1590 Woodlake Drive, Chesterfield, MO 63017.  Comments must be postmarked by July 3, 2025.
