Mark Twain Memorial Bridge on I-72 Near Hannibal Now Open To Traffic

Lane Reductions to Remain

HANNIBAL— The bridge rehabilitation project on the Interstate 72/U.S. 36 Mark Twain Memorial Bridge near Hannibal has been completed, and the bridge is now open and restored to one lane of traffic in each direction.

Traffic will continue to be reduced to one lane on eastbound and westbound I-72/U.S. 36 over the bridge, with a 12-foot width restriction in place while crews complete cleanup work.

Contractor crews with Millstone Weber, LLC of St. Louis, have worked diligently to expedite the bearing work and additional repairs, finishing well ahead of schedule.
