JEFFERSON COUNTY- Crews will close the exit from southbound Interstate 55 to Route A from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. beginning Monday, June 16.
The southbound I-55 exit to Route A will be closed nighty Monday through Friday. These nightly closures are anticipated to continue through July 11, weather permitting. No closures will take place during the Independence Day holiday July 3 – July 6.
Crews will be setting columns and panels for new noise walls along southbound I-55.
A signed detour will direct drivers on southbound Interstate 55 to exit at the I-55/McNutt interchange or the I-55/US 67 interchange and use US 61/67 to access Route A.
