CLOSURE scheduled for repaving work on NB I-35 in downtown Kansas City, June 13-16

Repaving will require the CLOSURE of NB I-35 between I-670 and I-70.

JACKSON COUNTY – Crews will perform repaving work requiring the following closure on NB I-35 from the interchange of I-35 and I-670 and ending at the ramps to WB I-70, Broadway Blvd., and NB U.S. 169, June 13-16. The following full CLOSURES will be in place.

7 p.m. on Friday, June 13 until 6 a.m. on Monday, June 16 (approximately)

  • Full CLOSURE of NB I-35 from the interchange of I-35 and I-670 and ending at the ramps to WB I-70, Broadway Blvd., and NB U.S. 169
  • Ramp from WB I-670 to NB I-35
  • Ramp from NB I-35 to 14th St.
  • Ramp from NB I-35 to 12th St.
  • Ramp from 12th St. to NB I-35
  • Ramp from NB I-35 to WB I-70
  • Ramp from NB I-35 to EB I-70
  • Ramp from NB I-35 to Broadway Blvd.
  • Ramp from NB I-35 to U.S. 169

Motorists traveling on NB I-35 will be detoured around the closure on EB I-670.

This work is part of a larger project to repave NB/SB I-35 from the interchange of I-35 and I-670.  Ending at the ramps to I-70, Broadway Blvd., and U.S. 169

Motorists are advised to plan ahead and be vigilant of work in the area. All work is weather permitting. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
