Crawford County Route C to close Monday

Work planned June 9 through mid-August

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – A project to rehabilitate three Crawford County bridges over Interstate 44 is progressing quickly with the early completion of a bridge on Route FF and the planned closure Monday, June 9, of the Route C bridge in Bourbon. In March, a contract was awarded by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission to Kozeny-Wagner, Inc. to rehabilitate these two bridges as well as the I-44 overpass on Beamer Lane

The bridge on Route C is scheduled to be closed June 9 through mid-August. When the Route C bridge work is complete, crews will close the Beamer Lane bridge. It is expected to reopen at the end of September.

During each closure, motorists will need to seek alternate routes. All scheduled work is weather permitting and subject to change.

This work is part of a larger effort to study and bring improvements to I-44. For the latest on work happening along the corridor, visit the Forward 44 website: Forward 44 | Missouri Department of Transportation.

MoDOT asks all motorists to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, obeying all traffic signs, and slowing down and moving over in work zones. Motorists are advised to use extra caution through work zones, obey all traffic signs, and avoid any distractions.
