ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted Capital Paving and Construction, LLC to complete a resurfacing project on U.S. Route 65 in Chillicothe from north of Route 190 to U.S. Route 36. The contractor is expected to complete the curb and entrance repairs next week and plan to begin resurfacing on Thursday, June 19.
Traffic Impacts: Resurfacing will take place at night between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., seven days a week. Route 65 will be narrowed to one lane and flaggers may be directing traffic. Access to city streets may be closed for short periods during resurfacing. Motorists should expect delays and consider alternate routes.
The project is expected to be complete in July 2024.
