LAFAYETTE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting intermittent lane closures on U.S. Highway 24 in Lafayette Co. between the Jackson Co. line and U.S. Highway 65 in Waverly beginning Mon., June 2, for resurfacing. Work will take place from approximately 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. each day. Monday through Saturday. The project is scheduled to be completed in November 2025. Motorists can expect various lane closures and the use of pilot cars to help travelers navigate the area. All work is weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
