MoDOT to close one lane on eastbound I-64 entrance ramp from Route K starting June 2

ST. CHARLES COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will close one eastbound Interstate 64 entrance ramp lane from Route K as part of the Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project starting Monday, June 2. All work is weather permitting.

The eastbound I-64 ramp lane closure is part of the widening of I-64 in St. Charles County to add a third lane in each direction between Route K and the I-70/I-64 interchange. The ramp will be reduced to one lane through July 2025.

The Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project covering the eastern portion of I-70 was awarded in November 2024. Construction is tentatively set to take place 2025-2028.

Missouri’s FY2024 budget from the General Assembly signed into law by Governor Parson provides $2.8 billion in General Revenue for the costs to build a third lane of I-70 across the state. The program will plan, design, construct, reconstruct, rehabilitate, and add a third lane in each direction on nearly 200 miles of I-70, from Blue Springs to Wentzville.
