Closures scheduled for WB I-670 in downtown Kansas City, May 30-June 2, June 6-9

Closure of WB I-670 and the ramps from Troost Ave. to near 18th St. in Kansas for repaving work.

JACKSON COUNTY – Crews will perform repaving work requiring the following closures on WB I-670 from Troost Ave. to near 18th St. in Kansas, May 30-June 2 and June 6-9.

7 p.m. on Friday, May 30 until 6 a.m. on Monday, June 2 (approximately) and 7 p.m. on Friday, June 6 until 6 a.m. on Monday, June 9 (approximately)

  • WB I-670 CLOSED from Troost Ave. to 18th St. across the state line.
  • Ramp from NB U.S. 71 to WB I-670
  • Ramp from WB I-670 to 13th St.
  • Ramp from WB I-670 to Locust St./Truman Rd.
  • Ramp from WB I-670 to Broadway Blvd.
  • Ramp from WB I-670 to NB I-35
  • Ramp from WB I-670 to SB I-35
  • Ramp from WB I-670 to Wyoming St. 
  • Ramp from Genessee St. to WB I-670

Motorists traveling on WB I-670 will be detoured around the closure on I-70.

This work is part of a larger project to repave EB/WB I-670 from Troost Ave. to the state line.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead and be vigilant of work in the area. All work is weather permitting. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
