JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting lane and intersection closures on U.S. Highway 24 for pavement operations. All work is weather permitting. All dates are approximate.
See below for traffic modifications:
- Crews will conduct a FULL temporary (short term) closure at the locations below on approx. Friday, May 23 at 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
(Crews will work on one location and then move to the next)
- Intersection of US 24 at Buckner and North/South Central St.
- Intersection of US 24 and Johnson Dr
- Intersection of US 24 and MO BB
- Crews will CLOSE the intersection of US 24 and Johnson Dr. on approx. Tuesday, May 27 at 9 a.m. until Friday, May 30 at 12 p.m.
- Crews will conduct lane closures on US 24 westbound starting at Johnson Dr and West Central St. on approx. Tuesday, May 27 at 9 a.m. until Friday, May 30 at 12 p.m.
- Crews will CLOSE the intersection on US 24 at MO BB beginning on approx. Wednesday, May 28 at 9 a.m. until Thursday, May 29 at 12 p.m.
- Crews will conduct a lane closure on US 24 at South Central St. to MO BB on approx. Thursday, May 29 at 9 a.m. until Monday, June 2 at 12 p.m.
- Crews will CLOSE the intersection on US 24 at South Central St and MO BB on approx. Thursday, May 29 at 9 a.m. until Monday, June 2 at 12 p.m.
All work is weather dependent. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
