St. Louis Work Zones May 22-28

ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Department of Transportation will suspend most work on interstates and state-maintained highways to reduce congestion and ease travel during the Memorial Day weekend.

Crews will suspend new lane closures for work zones starting Friday, May 23 at noon, although any priority roadwork such as pothole patching or other repairs may require work zones. Traffic will continue to have restrictions where there are permanent barriers, such as along I-64 across the Missouri River and on I-55 in the city of St. Louis. Work on all construction projects will resume at 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 27.

Starting Tuesday, May 27, several long-term lane closures start. They include:

  • Route 21 (Tesson Ferry), one lane in each direction between Tiffany Square Park and Green Park Road/Musick will be closed through late 2025.
  • Route 67 (Lindbergh), St. Louis County, will be closed over Deer Creek, south of Conway Road/German Boulevard, for two months.
  • Route 109, St. Louis County, access from S. Eatherton Road is closed for one month.
  • Route MM, Franklin County, closed for four months.

Motorists should be aware of the following ongoing closures:

  • I-55, St. Louis City, one southbound lane closed from I-44 to north of Bates and two southbound lanes closed north of Bates to north of Weber through 2025.
  • I-55, St. Louis City and County, two northbound lanes closed from north of Bayless to Virginia through 2025.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, the ramp from northbound to Loughborough and the Loughborough on-ramp to northbound I-55 will be closed through May 2025.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, the ramp from Lafayette/Truman to southbound I-55 is closed through 2025.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, the ramp from Germania to northbound I-55 is closed through 2025.
  • I-55, St. Louis County, one northbound lane closed from north of Reavis Barracks to north of Bayless through 2025.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, the ramp from westbound I-64 to Grand/Forest Park Avenue is closed.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, various northbound and southbound lanes narrowed between I-64 and Olive through late 2025.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, Conway closed under I-270 through fall 2025.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, westbound exit ramp to Riverview Drive closed.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, on ramp from Riverview Drive to westbound I-270 closed.
  • Route 67, St. Louis County, one northbound and southbound lane closed over Coldwater Creek.
  • Route 67, St. Louis County, starting Tuesday, all lanes closed northbound and southbound at Deer Creek (just south of Conway Road/German Boulevard through early August.
  • Route 67, St. Louis County, northbound and southbound Route 67 loop ramps to Route D closed. Route D westbound and eastbound loop ramps to Route 67 closed.
  • Route 109, St. Louis County, the intersection of northbound/southbound Route 109 and eastbound/westbound Route CC closed through the end of 2025.
  • Route 109, St. Louis County, S. Eatherton Road is closed at the intersection of Route 109 through July.
  • Route 141, one southbound lane closed at I-64 through 2025.
  • Route 141, St. Louis County, the westbound I-64 off ramp to southbound Route 141 and the eastbound I-64 off ramp to Route 141 closed.
  • Route N, St. Louis County, one lane closed southbound from Cool Valley Drive to St. Ann’s Lane through July.
  • Route AC, St. Louis County, one northbound and one southbound lane closed at Maline Creek (just south of Lucas & Hunt).
  • I-55, Jefferson County, intersection of I-55 and Route 67 closed.
  • I-55, Jefferson County, one lane of northbound/southbound I-55 closed from Route 67 to Route Z.
  • I-55, Jefferson County, three left turn lanes closed at McNutt under the interstate. Traffic will move to the outside lanes. Drivers will be able to make a left turn onto the interstate ramp.
  • I-55, Jefferson County, the ramp from southbound Route 67 to southbound I-55 will be closed through September 2025.
  • Route 61/67, Jefferson County, two lanes closed northbound/southbound at Miller Road and at Route 61/67 and St. Johns Church Road.
  • Route 67, Jefferson County, one southbound lane closed at I-55.
  • Route 67, Jefferson County, one lane closed at Route CC.
  • Route 67, Jefferson County, the southbound 67 to southbound I-55 loop ramp closed.
  • Route W, Jefferson County, all lanes closed between Boemler Road and Twin River Road.
  • Route Z, Jefferson County, three middle lanes closed in the center of Route Z. All traffic is pushed to the outside lanes.
  • Route MM, Franklin County, starting Tuesday, closed in both directions until October.
