Various lane closures on MO 291 in Jackson County for bridge/pavement operations, May 29 - June 6

JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting various lane closures on Missouri Route 291 for pavement and bridge maintenance operations. All work is weather permitting.

See below for traffic modifications:

  • Crews will close one lane on southbound MO 291 over the Missouri River Bridge beginning on approx. Thursday, May 29 until Wednesday, June 4 between 5 a.m. and 3 p.m.
  • Crews will close one lane on northbound MO 291 near the Missouri River Bridge beginning on approx. Tuesday, June 3 until Friday, June 6 between 5 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
