JACKSON COUNTY – Crews will perform pavement patching work and drainage repair requiring the following lane and ramp closures, evening and overnight, May 14-15, on NB I-35 and EB I-670 in downtown Kansas City.
This is an extension of the work originally scheduled for May 12-14.
EXTENDED: Evening and overnight, 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14 until 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 15 (approximately)
- Ramp from Truman Rd./McGee St. to EB I-670 will be closed for drain repair and replacement.
- Double lane closure on NB I-35 from the state line to 23rd St.
This work is part of a larger project to repave EB/WB I-35 from the state line to U.S. 169/I-70/Broadway split.
All work is weather dependent. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and be vigilant of work in the area. All work is weather permitting. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
