St. Joseph, Mo. – The southbound off ramp from Interstate 229 to Atchison and 6th streets is now closed due to a watermain break. Missouri American Water, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, closed the ramp this morning, Wednesday, May 14 to make necessary repairs.
Traffic Impacts: Access from southbound I-229 ramp to Atchison and 6th streets is closed. Motorists can still use the ramp to access U.S. Route 59. Missouri American Water expects to complete repairs and reopen the roadway Friday evening, May 16.
