ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted Capital Paving and Construction, LLC to complete a resurfacing project on U.S. Route 65 in Chillicothe from north of Route 190 to U.S. Route 36. As part of the project, access to Polk Street west of Route 65 will be closed beginning Monday, May 19 through Monday, May 26.
Traffic Impacts: There will be no access to/from Polk Street west of Route 65 from May 19-26. This will be an around-the-clock closure. Motorists will need to seek an alternate route.
The following streets on the west side of Route 65 will also be impacted and will have short term closures during the project: Bryan Street, Waples Street, Curtis Street and Ryan Lane.
