REVISED: Lane/ramp closures for pavement repair on NB/SB I-35 and WB I-670, overnight, May 12-14

Pavement repair work will take place near downtown Kansas City, May 12-14

JACKSON COUNTY – Crews will perform pavement patching work requiring the following lane and ramp closures, evening and overnight, May 12-14, on NB/SB I-35 near the I-35/I-670 interchange to the state line.

Evening and overnight, 8 p.m. on Monday, May 12 until 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13 (approximately)

  • Ramp from SB I-35 to 20th St. will be closed.
  • Ramp from 14th St. to SB I-35 will be closed. (REVISED-added ramp closure)
  • Ramp from Broadway Blvd. to SB I-35 will be closed. (REVISED-added ramp closure)
  • Double lane closure on SB I-35 from the I-35/I-670 interchange to the state line
  • Double lane closure on NB I-35 from the state line to the Southwest Trafficway/Broadway Blvd.
  • Single lane closure on the Ramp WB I-670 to SB I-35. (REVISED-added lane closure)

Evening and overnight, 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13 until 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14 (approximately)

  • Ramp from WB I-670 to NB I-35 will be closed.
    • WB I-670 can access NB I-35 from Broadway Blvd.
  • Double Lane closure on NB I-35 from the state line to 12th St.
  • Single lane closure on the Ramp WB I-670 to SB I-35. (REVISED-added lane closure)

This work is part of a larger project to repave EB/WB I-35 from state line to U.S. 169/I-70/Broadway split.

All work is weather dependent. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and be vigilant of work in the area. All work is weather permitting. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
