MoDOT to Close Lanes of Route AC Bridge Over Maline Creek in Preparation of Bridge Work

NORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY – Motorists who travel Route AC (New Halls Ferry Rd.) over Maline Creek (just south of Lucas and Hunt Rd.) may want to consider an alternate route.  Starting Monday, May 12 at 8 a.m., crews will close one northbound and one southbound lane of Route AC.

The lane closures will allow crews to switch traffic to one side of the bridge in preparation of resurfacing work and replacing sidewalks.  The Route AC bridge will be rebuilt in two phases. The west side of the bridge will close first, with one lane of traffic in each direction on the east side of the bridge. Once completed, the second phase of the project will shift traffic to west side to work on the east side of the bridge.

The new bridge deck is expected to be completed in December 2025.

All work is weather permitting.
