MoDOT to shift I-55 traffic onto median bypass north of McNutt Street on May 9

JEFFERSON COUNTY- Drivers should be aware that beginning at 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 9, MoDOT will shift southbound I-55 traffic onto newly constructed median pavement from north of McNutt Street to north of Central Avenue.

This traffic shift will tie in the segment from Central Avenue to south of US 67 where southbound I-55 traffic is currently using the median pavement. SB I-55 traffic will be fully switched onto the new median by 7:00 a.m. on Monday, May 12. Moving traffic onto the new median pavement allows for demolition of existing southbound I-55 pavement and the I-55 bridge over McNutt Street. All work is weather permitting.
