PLATTE COUNTY - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting pavement resurfacing operations on Interstate 29 near Platte City. All work is weather permitting.
See below for dates and traffic modifications:
- Crews are conducting various lane closures on I-29 between Missouri Route 273 and I-435 at the northbound on ramp. Work began on Monday, April 14 and will be in place until early November between 6 p.m. and 7 am.
- Crews will conduct a single lane flagging operation at the I-29 outer road (Prairieview Rd) from Bethel Ave to Mexico City Ave beginning on approx. Thursday, May 8 until Friday, May 9 between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.
- Crews will CLOSE the I-29 outer road (Roanridge Rd) from the north warehouse entrance to the Bethel Ave intersection beginning on approx. Thursday, May 8 at 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
- Crews will close the I-29 south to the MO 273 off ramp and MO 273 to the I-29 south on ramp beginning nightly on approx. Sunday, May 11 until Monday, May 12 (extending into Tuesday morning) between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.
- Crews will close the I-435 on ramp to I-29 south beginning on approx. Tuesday, May 27 until Friday, May 30 between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
