LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from May 5-9. All work is weather permitting, and dates are approximate.
JACKSON COUNTY
- Crews will CLOSE the ramp from I-70 EB to I-35 SB for bridge inspections beginning on Monday, May 12 between 9 am - 3 pm.
- Crews will CLOSE the ramp from I-35 NB to I-70 WB for bridge inspections beginning on Tuesday, May 13 between 9 am - 3 pm.
- Flagging operation on MO BB between Pink Hill and MO FF beginning on Monday, May 5 until Tuesday, May 6.
- Flagging operation on Todd George between U.S. 50 and Browning Road beginning on Wednesday, May 7 until Thursday, May 8 between 10 am and 2 pm.
CLAY COUNTY
- Flagging operation with pilot car on MO EE in Kearney for pavement repairs beginning on Monday, May 5.
PETTIS COUNTY
- Flagging operation on MO HH for pavement operations between U.S. 65 to MO 135 beginning on Monday, May 5 until Tuesday, May 6.
SALINE COUNTY
- Flagging operation on MO 240 for pavement operations between U.S. 65 to MO 41 south beginning on Monday, May 5 until Tuesday, May 6.
JOHNSON COUNTY
- Crews will CLOSE MO Y for culvert replacements between SE 701 to SE 921 beginning on Monday, May 5.
LAFAYETTE COUNTY
- Flagging/mobile operation on the south outer road on I-70 between West St. to Gordan St. beginning on Monday, May 5.
- Flagging/mobile operation on the south outer road on I-70 between Bonn St. beginning on Monday, May 6.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
