Closures scheduled for repaving work on EB I-670 in downtown Kansas City, May 9-11, May 16-18

Closure of EB I-670 and ramps from 18th St. across the state line to Troost Ave.

JACKSON COUNTY – Crews will perform repaving work requiring the following weekend closures on EB I-670 from 18th St. across the state line to Troost Ave., May 9-11 and May 16-18.

7 p.m. on Friday, May 9 until 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 11 (approximately) and 7 p.m. on Friday, May 16 until 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 18 (approximately)

  • EB I-670 CLOSED from just past 18th St. across the state line to Troost Ave.
  • Ramp from Central Ave. to EB I-670
  • Ramp from EB I-670 to SB I-35
  • Ramp from NB I-35 to EB I-670
  • Ramp from Broadway Blvd to EB I-670
  • Ramp from Truman Rd. to EB I-670
  • Ramp from EB I-670 to SB U.S. 71

Motorists traveling on EB I-670 will be detoured around the closures on I-70.

This work is part of a larger project to repave EB/WB I-670 from Troost Ave. to 18th St. across the state line.

Work on WB I-670 is scheduled for Friday, May 30 – Sunday, June 1 and Friday, June 6 – Sunday, June 8.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead and be vigilant of work in the area. All work is weather permitting. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
