MoDOT to close Route KK between Route 185 and Route C starting Wednesday, April 30

FRANKLIN COUNTY—The Missouri Department of Transportation will begin culvert pipe replacement work on Route KK in Franklin County between Route 185 and Route C on Wednesday, April 30, at 8 a.m.

Crews will work on up to 10 culvert pipes throughout this project, starting with the Pipe 1 and 2 locations. On Wednesday, a one-lane flagging operation will help direct traffic through the closure. Starting Friday, May 2, MoDOT will fully close Route KK to replace a deeper culvert pipe along this route. Typical work hours will be Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Local traffic can take Koelkeback Road to Bucklick School Road (Route highlighted in green) or Oliver Lane to Route 185 (Route highlighted in orange) to navigate around the closure locations, depending on which pipe location is under construction.

Further updates will be sent out with pipe locations that are under construction. Signs will be in place in advance to help local traffic identify the upcoming closure locations.

All work is weather permitting. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes during the closure.
