HANNIBAL – Weather permitting, as early as May 12, a resurfacing project is scheduled to begin on 18.3 miles of Missouri Route 15, from Route D in Monroe County to 1.1 mile north of Route 22 near Mexico in Audrain County.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction in place at the location where crews are actively working. Flaggers and a pilot car will be utilized to direct motorists through the work zone. Signs and message boards will be in place to alert motorists, as schedule changes occur. All work is weather dependent and schedules are subject to change.
The $4.8M contract, awarded last year to Magruder Paving, LLC of Troy, Missouri, includes two seal coat projects in Monroe and Ralls counties at the following locations:
- Missouri Route 15 - seal coat from Missouri Route 154 north junction to Route D near Paris in Monroe County. The length of the improvement is 6 miles) (Tentatively scheduled for mid-June)
- Missouri Route 154 - seal coat from U.S. Route 24 at Paris in Monroe County to 0.04 mile west of Missouri Route 19 near Perry in Ralls County. The length of the improvement is 21.6 miles.
All work is scheduled to be completed by October 1, 2025.
