REMINDER - Closure of Route C/J over I-49, NB I-49 traffic will be reduced to a single lane and routed over NB I-49 ramps April 28-May 5.
CASS COUNTY – Crews will make the following closures and changes to traffic patterns for heat straightening and bridge repair work on Route C/J bridge over I-49, Monday, April 28- Monday, May 12 (approximately). All work is weather permitting.
Monday, April 28 – Monday, May 5 (approximately)
- All NB I-49 traffic will be routed over the on-off ramps at Route C/J.
- Route C/J bridge will be CLOSED over I-49.
- NB I-49 traffic will not be able to turn onto Route C/J.
- SB I-49 will be able to exit and turn right onto SB Route C.
- SB I-49 will not be able to turn left on Route C/J.
- Motorists will not be able to exit from Route C/J onto NB/SB-49.
May 5- May 12 (approximately)
- Route C/J bridge will reopen over NB/SB I-49
- NB I-49 will have a one-lane closure under Route C/J.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
