KANSAS CITY – Greg Bolon has been named the district engineer for the Missouri Department of Transportation’s Kansas City District. Bolon will take over leadership of the nine-county region from Chris Redline, who retired earlier this year.
A registered professional engineer in Missouri and third-generation MoDOT employee, Bolon has spent a combined 14 years of his career with the department in various roles, most recently as the district maintenance and traffic engineer in MoDOT’s Northwest District, a role he’s held since 2020. He also has 25 years of experience leading the City of Kansas City’s street and traffic operations.
“It’s an honor and a privilege to be selected to lead the dedicated MoDOT team in the Kansas City area, a place where my career began almost 40 years ago,” Bolon said. “The Kansas City Metro area has been my home for much of my life, and I look forward to continuing the foundational partnerships with our local communities, industry leaders and stakeholders as we work to deliver innovative and safe transportation solutions for Kansas City travelers.”
