CLAY AND PLATTE COUNTIES – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting six bridge deck replacements on Missouri Route 9 in Platte and Clay Counties resulting in the full closure of northbound and southbound MO 9 between 635 and NW Briarcliff Pkwy beginning on Monday, May 5 until early October. An official signed detour will be posted using I-635, I-29 and US-169. All work is weather permitting.
The following closures will be in place as part of the project, Monday, May 5 through early-October (approximately):
- NB MO 9 will be closed from US-169 to I-635
- The ramps from 169 NB, NW Briarcliff Pkwy, and Riverway Blvd to MO 9 NB will be closed.
- SB MO 9 will be closed from I-635 to NW Briarcliff Pkwy
- The ramps from I-635 NB and I-635 SB to MO 9 SB will be closed
