ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted Capital Paving and Construction, LLC to complete a resurfacing project on U.S. Route 65 in Chillicothe from north of Route 190 to U.S. Route 36. The project will begin with repairs to curbs and entrances from Business Route U.S. 36 to Second Street in Chillicothe.
Traffic Impacts: Route 65 will be narrowed to one lane. Access to city street and business entrances along Route 65 will be impacted and may be closed. The contractor will work with business owners to minimize impacts by working on one entrance at a time at any given location.
Tentative schedule:
- April 21 – May 4:
- Northbound Route 65 curb and entrance repairs starting at Business Route 36 and working north to Second Street.
- May 5 – 18:
- Southbound Route 65 curb and entrance repairs starting at Second Street and working south to Business Route 36.
- May 19 – June 1:
- North and southbound curb and entrance repairs starting at Second Street and working north to Missouri Route 190.
- June 18 – July 8: Nighttime resurfacing.
- July 18 – 24: Signal detection work.
