JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is closing the eastbound exit ramp from Interstate 70 to Boone County Routes O and J at Exit 117 on Sunday night for pavement repair. The driving (right-hand) lane of eastbound I-70 will also be closed. The passing lane will remain open.
For the safety of both workers and the traveling public, MoDOT will close the eastbound exit ramp and driving lane near Exit 117 beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday, April 13. The ramp and lane are expected to reopen by 6 a.m. Monday, April 14.
The on-ramp from Routes O and J to eastbound I-70, both westbound ramps at Exit 117, and westbound interstate traffic is not expected to be impacted by the work.
Motorists wanting to access Routes O and J will need to travel to the next exit – Exit 121 at U.S. Route 40/Route UU – then travel westbound on I-70 back to Exit 117.
This work is weather dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
MoDOT asks all motorists to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, obeying all traffic signs, and slowing down and moving over in work zones. Motorists are advised to use extra caution through work zones, obey all traffic signs, and avoid any distractions.
