Nighttime lane, ramp closures on eastbound U.S. Route 54 in Jefferson City next week

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Construction crews working with the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to install new signs on U.S. Route 54 in Jefferson City next week. Motorist traveling between U.S. Route 50 and the U.S. Route 63 interchange can expect traffic impacts April 16 and 17, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night, as listed below: 

  • Wednesday night, April 16: Ramp CLOSED from eastbound U.S. Route 54 to eastbound Missouri Route 94.  
  • Thursday night: April 17: Eastbound multi-lane closures between U.S. Route 50 and the Missouri River Bridge. One lane will remain open. 

All work is weather dependent, and schedules are subject to change.  

MoDOT asks all motorists to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, obeying all traffic signs, and slowing down and moving over in work zones.
