St. Louis Work Zones April 10-16

ST. LOUIS –Drivers who use northbound I-55 in the city of St. Louis should be aware of an upcoming overnight closure on the interstate this weekend.

The closures will allow crews to place concrete for the driving surface of the new bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad between River Des Peres and Loughborough. All work is weather permitting.

Crews will close northbound I-55 at Carondelet/River City Boulevard (Exit 202A) Friday, April 11, starting at 8 p.m.  Detour traffic will turn right on River City Boulevard, follow it to Broadway and turn left on Broadway and follow it back to the interstate.  Two northbound lanes will reopen by 9 a.m. Saturday, April 12.

For more project information, please visit the project website at: Interstate 55 Bridge Rehabilitation in St. Louis and St. Louis City | Missouri Department of Transportation (modot.org)

Motorists who travel Route 67 (Lindbergh) in North St. Louis County, may want to consider an alternate route. On Monday, April 14 at 6 a.m., Route 67 will be reduced to one northbound and one southbound lane from Sunswept Park Court to Candlewyck Court Drive to allow rehabilitation of the Coldwater Creek bridge over Route 67.

The Coldwater Creek bridge is approximately one-half mile east of Route AC (New Halls Ferry). The lane reductions are expected to last through the end of July.

For real-time roadway weather conditions, go to http://traveler.modot.org/map. For real-time traffic, visit Welcome to Gateway Guide! | Missouri Department of Transportation (modot.org). All work is subject to change and may be shifted due to inclement weather.
