I-29 ramp closures planned in Andrew County April 9-12 for resurfacing project

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Herzog Contracting Corp., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, is to close several ramps from Wednesday, April 9 to Saturday, April 12, in Andrew County due to a resurfacing project on southbound Interstate 29. The ramps are tentatively scheduled to close as follows: 

  • Wednesday, April 9 
    • Southbound U.S. Route 59 to I-29 (Exit 75) 
    • Southbound I-29 to U.S. Route 59/Route RA (Exit 65) 
    • Southbound Route 59/Route RA to I-29 (Exit 65) 
    • Southbound I-29 to Route K (Exit 60) 
  • Thursday, April 10 
    • Route K to southbound I-29 (Exit 60) 
    • Southbound Route 71 to southbound I-29 (Exit 53) 
  • Friday, April 11 
    • The I-29/I-229/Route 71 interchange 
    • Southbound I-29 to I-229 (Exit 56B) 
    • Southbound I-29 to northbound Route 71 
    • Northbound I-229 to southbound I-29 (Exit 14A) 
  • Saturday, April 12 
    • Southbound I-29 to Business Route 71 (Exit 53) 
    • Business Route 71 to Southbound I-29 (Exit 53) 

Traffic impacts: Traffic will not be able to use the ramps during these short-term, daytime closures. Motorists will need to use an alternate route. For the most up-to-date closure information, check the Traveler Information Map: https://traveler.modot.org/map/.
