Planned Road Work for Mid-Missouri

April 7 - 13, 2025

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the midMissouri area April 7 13, 2025. Weather conditions may postpone scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures which could cause delays.      

All Counties 

Moving operations such as pothole patching, brush cutting, and pavement repairs continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment. 

All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change. 

Boone County 

Route Z – Culvert replacement planned April 7 from Route OO to Doris Boulevard. The road will be CLOSED from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.  

I-70 – Core drilling operations planned nightly, Sunday through Thursday, through April 10, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., between mile marker 78 in Saline County and mile marker 132 in Columbia (Boone County). One lane, each direction, will remain open during the work. 

Route T Resurfacing continues from Route F to Randolph County Route B. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. 

Route F Resurfacing continues from U.S. Route 63 to Missouri Route 124. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. 

Routes Z, HH, and OO Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2025. 

U.S. Route 63 Bridge construction continues on U.S. Route 63 between the Broadway overpass and Conley Road underpass in Columbia. U.S. Route 63 will remain open but in a head-to-head configuration with narrowed lanes and reduced speeds. This traffic pattern is expected to be in place through late 2025. The bridge construction is part of the Improve I-70 program. Learn more at modot.org/improvei70/columbiakingdomcity. 

I-70 One lane of eastbound I-70 between Route B (Paris Road) and U.S. Route 63 to close 7 p.m. April 11 through 6 a.m. April 14. Motorists can expect significant delays and are advised to use an alternate route. Learn more at modot.org/improvei70/columbiakingdomcity. 

Callaway County 

Route Z – Culvert replacement planned April 9 from Route JJ to County Road 140. The road will be CLOSED from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

U.S. Route 54 – Ramp CLOSED from westbound U.S. Route 54 to northbound U.S. Route 63 on April 8 from 7 a.m. to 6 a.m. Motorist must use an alternate route.     

Route 54 – Resurfacing continues from Route H in Fulton to Auxvasse Creek in Kingdom City, north of I-70. Single-lane closures will occur at varying times, depending on the location. Expect delays during morning and evening rush hours. The project is expected to continue through May 2025. 

I-70 – Work continues under the railroad bridge in Kingdom City, between mile markers 147.4 and 148, immediately west of U.S. Route 54.  Learn more at modot.org/improvei70/columbiakingdomcity  

I-70 – New pavement construction continues from the Boone County line (near mile marker 136.6) to Kingdom City (near mile marker 145) as part of the Improve I-70 Program. Motorists can expect intermittent and long-term lane closures for the duration of the project. Learn more at modot.org/improvei70/columbiakingdomcity 

Camden County 

Route E – Pothole patching planned April 7 – 10. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route D Pavement improvements continue on the first 4.75 miles south of U.S. Route 54. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2025. 

Route MM Toll booth removal continues. Route MM will remain open throughout the project but is narrowed to one lane with temporary traffic signals directing motorists through the work zone. Motorists should expect delays. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2025. 

Cooper County 

I-70 – Bridge maintenance scheduled to begin April 7 at the Lamine River (mile marker 93). The eastbound driving (right) lane will be closed nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2025. 

Routes KK, W, and T Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag motorists through the work zones. These routes part of a series of rural route resurfacing projects in Cooper, Morgan, Moniteau and Cole counties that will continue through May 2025. 

Crawford County 

Route ZZ – Roadside work planned April 7 from Missouri Route 19 to Route F. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Old Route 66 Roadside work planned April 7 10 from Route UU to Route H. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route 19 – Roadside work planned April 7 10 from Missouri Route 49 to Edgar Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route 49 – Roadside work planned April 710from Route 19 to Route Y. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route M – Culvert replacement planned April 710 from Route U to Route VV. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.  

Route 19 Roadside work continues at Standing Rock Creek, south of Route N, as part of a bridge replacement project. Motorists can expect intermittent lane closures for the duration of the work, which is expected to be complete in May 2025. 

South Outer Road 44 – Bridge rehabilitation scheduled to begin April 7 over Little Bourbeuse River. The road will be CLOSED. Motorist must use an alternate route for the duration of the work, which is expected to be complete in July 2025.  

Gasconade County 

U.S. Route 50 – Pavement repairs continue from west of Linn to east of Rosebud. One lane will remain open and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2025. 

Howard County 

Missouri Route 5 – Pavement repairs planned April 7 – 10 from Davis Street to Park Avenue. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Missouri Route 124 – Pavement repairs planned April 710 from Missouri Route 240 to Route Y. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route A Resurfacing continues from Route B to Missouri Route 124. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. 

Route EE Resurfacing continues from Route A to Route J. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. 

Laclede County 

Missouri Route 5 – Roadside work planned April 7 – 10 from Fremont Road to Route C. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route B – Roadside work planned April 7 – 10 at Evanston Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route C – Pavement repairs planned April 810. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route V – Pavement repairs planned April 9 10. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Miller County 

Route A – Roadside work planned April 7 – 10. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route C – Culvert replacement planned April 710 from Missouri Route 17 to Route A. The road will be CLOSED from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. 

Missouri Route 52 Pedestrian facility upgrades continue in the city of St. Elizabeth at Walnut Street. Work will require temporary closures of pedestrian facilities and intermittent single-lane closures with flaggers to direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2025.  

Moniteau County 

U.S. Route 50 – Pavement Repairs planned April 8 – 9 westbound only. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Morgan County 

Route 52 Pavement work continues in Versailles between Fairgrounds Road and Missouri Route 5 as part of the intersection improvement project at Route 52 and Route 5. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2025. 

Osage County 

U.S. Route 50 – Pavement repairs planned April 710 at County Road 602.  

Missouri Route 89 – Pavement repairs planned April 7 – 10 from Route 50 to Missouri Route 28. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

U.S. Route 50 – Pavement repairs continue from west of Linn to east of Rosebud. One lane will remain open and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2025. 

Phelps County 

Route EE – Culvert replacement planned April 710. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Routes H and M Pavement repairs planned April 7 10. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route H Resurfacing continues from Route M to Missouri Route 72 in Dent County. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2025. 

Routes 72 and KKPedestrian facility upgrades continue. Work will require temporary closures of pedestrian facilities and intermittent single-lane closures with flaggers to direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2025. 

Pulaski County 

I-44 – Bridge maintenance planned April 7 – 18 at the Roubidoux Creek. Both the eastbound and westbound driving (right) lanes will be closed nightly from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

Washington County 

Route 8 – Bridge rehabilitation continues over the Union Pacific Railroad. Route 8 will remain open throughout the project but may intermittently narrow to one lane. Motorists should expect delays. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2025.
