LEE’S SUMMIT – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting various lane closures on several routes in Johnson, Lafayette, Pettis, and Saline counties for resurfacing operations. Travelers can expect the use of flagging operations and pilot cars to help drivers safely navigate through the work zones. This project will last from approximately Monday, March 31 until June 2025. All work is weather permitting.
Resurfacing work beginning March 31 (approximate):
- Pettis County Route O
- Lafayette County Route AA
Resurfacing work beginning April 7 (approximate):
- Pettis County Route W
Resurfacing work following completion of Lafayette County Route AA:
- Johnson County Route F
Resurfacing work following completion of Pettis County Route W:
- Missouri Highway 127 between Interstate 70 (Saline County) and La Monte (Pettis County)
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
