This work is for ADA sidewalk improvements on Route 2. Work will begin at the intersection of S. Independence St. and E. South St. and move east to Bird Ave. Crews will then move to the intersection of S. Commercial St. and S. Independence St. and then to S. Commercial St. and I-49 on-ramp.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
