St. Louis Work Zones March 20-26

ST. LOUIS – Drivers who use northbound I-55 in the city of St. Louis should be aware of overnight closures this weekend. This closure was delayed from last weekend, due to rain.

Crews will close northbound I-55 at Carondelet/River City Boulevard on Friday, March 21, starting at 9 p.m. through Saturday, March 22 at 9 a.m. The closures will allow crews to place concrete for the driving surface of the new bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad between River Des Peres and Loughborough. A second similar northbound closure will be the next weekend, March 28-29, also between 9 p.m. and 9 a.m.

Motorists who use eastbound Interstate 64 into Chesterfield Valley March 24 should allow extra time or choose alternate routes due to overnight work on a ramp.

Weather permitting, crews will close the exit ramp from eastbound I-64 to Chesterfield Airport Road (Exit 14) to make pavement repairs on the ramp starting Monday, March 25 at 8 p.m.  The ramp should reopen Tuesday, March 25 by 5 a.m.

To detour around the closure, drivers can continue on eastbound I-64 and exit at Boone’s Crossing (Exit 17) and follow Chesterfield Airport Road westbound to locations like the airport.
