ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Eleven Northwest Missouri bridges are scheduled for rehabilitation. The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted with Capital Paving & Construction, LLC to complete the project. These bridges were included in the Safe and Sound Bridge program which rebuilt more than 800 bridges approximately 13 years ago. The first bridge rehabilitation is scheduled to begin Monday, March 31 on the Daviess County Route E Bridge over Grindstone Creek.
Below are the other bridges that will be rehabilitated with this project:
- Daviess County Route CC Bridge over Dog Creek.
- Caldwell County Route W Bridge over East Sheep Creek.
- Clinton County Missouri Route 121 Bridge over Deer Creek.
- Caldwell County Route D Bridge over Goose Creek.
- Caldwell County Route A Bridge over Panther Creek.
- Chariton County Route P Bridge over Puzzle Creek.
- Carroll County Route B Bridge over Camp Creek.
- Livingston County Route D Bridge over Old Channel Shoal Creek.
- Daviess County Route J Bridge over Marrowbone Creek.
- Daviess County Route J Bridge over Dog Creek.
Traffic Impacts: During construction, each roadway will be narrowed to one lane with flaggers directing motorists through the work zone. Workers will be present during daylight hours, Monday through Friday.

All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change. The project is scheduled to be complete by late June.
Another Safe and Sound bridge rehabilitation project in Andrew, Buchanan, Clinton, and Dekalb counties is expected to begin in May.
