Southwest District – The public is invited to participate in an in-person public hearing to learn more about plans to realign sections of Missouri Route 32 in Cedar and Polk counties, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
The open-house style in-person meeting will be held 4:30-6 p.m., Tuesday, March 18 at Stockton High School, 1 Tiger Driver, Stockton, Mo.
A virtual (online) meeting is also available through Tuesday, April 1, and can be accessed at the project page here.
The project will remove several sharp curves along Route 32 between Cedar County Route CC west of Stockton and Polk County 76th Road west of Bolivar, creating a safer more efficient roadway for drivers. In addition, the bridge over Barren Creek near Polk County 50th Road will be replaced with a wider, slightly higher bridge along with dedicated left turn lanes at Missouri Route 245 west of Fair Play and at Missouri Route 123 east of Fair Play.
The estimated cost of the project is $10.5 million. Work is tentatively scheduled to begin in fall 2026 with completion in late 2027.
We are committed to providing equal access to this event for all participants. Access for people with disabilities is available.
