JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – Local maintenance crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to close the center turn lane and left-hand northbound lane of Route 163 (Providence Road) south of Business Loop 70. Pavement repairs are planned Wednesday, March 12 and Thursday, March 13, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day in the center turn lane near Austin Avenue. Both southbound lanes and side streets will remain open, but some turning restrictions to and from Providence will be in place during the work.
All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
MoDOT asks all motorists to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, obeying all traffic signs, and slowing down and moving over in work zones. Motorists are advised to use extra caution through work zones, obey all traffic signs, and avoid any distractions.
